Amazon Photos announced a memory-centered approach to its unlimited photo storage service for Prime members. The redesigned app surfaces curated memories and lets you find photos by describing them.
Amazon Photos works across devices, making it easy to showcase photos on an Echo Show or Fire TV, and even ask Alexa.
When the user opens Amazon Photos, instead of a photo grid, they now see a curated carousel of memories at the top of the screen, grouped and ready to watch. The app surfaces what’s worth seeing automatically.
On This Day, one of the app’s most-appreciated features, is now accessible from your carousel. It brings back pictures and videos from the same date in previous years without you having to go looking for them.
The updated Amazon Photos app is available now on iOS and coming soon to Android, with more updates to the Amazon Photos experience coming later in 2026.
